She has worked with psychologists to help patients dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression. Other specialty areas of treatment include women's health issues such as dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopause, digestive issues, migraines, and allergy. She uses Chinese herbal medicine and nutrition along with Acupuncture to achieve the best results.

Mitra believes that Traditional Oriental Medicine is not in competition with or a replacement of modern Western medicine, and that the two could be applied in a complementary fashion. That is why she treats her patients with genuine concern, using the effectiveness of both Eastern and Western medicines. She encourages her patients to be active and participate in their path to wellness and overall health, energy and vitality.
